Jillie Prator - April Camper of the Month
"I joined bootcamp 9 months after having my son. I gained 50 pounds while I was pregnant, and I realized how hard it would be on my body if that was my actual weight. I made a pact to myself that as soon as I gave birth, I was going to become a healthier me.
Before joining bootcamp I tried doing at home workouts from videos and started running, but something was missing. After 6 months, my sisters finally convinced me to give RBC a try. I was hooked after the first day! I finally found what my previous workouts were missing: a team and a coach. During our workouts, I have people to push me, encourage me, and celebrate my achievements.
Since starting RBC, I participated in my first triathlon with my sisters, and completed multiple 5k races. My husband has recently joined RBC, and it just makes my journey to a healthier me even better."

"I absolutely love Rocking Boot Camp! It has become part of my weekly routine for the past four years. I’ve always attended the 5 AM class because I feel that it starts my day off in the right direction.
I love the fact that we do a different workouts each day; Amanda really knows how to keep us on our toes! I’ve toned up and lost several inches since starting. I’ve definitely noticed an increase in my fitness and endurance levels. It is a non intimidating atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable working out at his/her own fitness level.
Having the opportunity to meet and befriend others who are just as motivated as I am keeps me going strong! Everyone is such an inspiration, and the teamwork is amazing! I can’t wait to see the upcoming positive changes that are in store for us!"

"I started a fitness regimen because I had reached my heaviest weight ever. I did not like what I have become--severely obese. I had become uncomfortable in my own body. I had heart burn every day, I’d become lazy and had a hard time sleeping due to the extra weight.
Then I met Amanda at my health fair at work in October. I talked to her about RBC and what she could do to help me. I thought about it but I just didn’t think I could do the things she talked about because I was fat and out of shape.
In December I received an E-Mail from Amanda (RBC) looking for new recruits. I thought about it and then I realized you don’t have to be fit and trim to start RBC but that I could become fit and trim by going to RBC.
I finally changed my mind set and decided that this WAS my time and I could do this now. I have been going for 4 months now and I love it Amanda is great as well as all of my fellow campers. I am down 35 lbs. and 2 pants sizes.
Thanks for pushing me and encouraging me to keep going. The things that keep me going are the results that I am getting and all of the people that say I inspire them. I may say I don’t like burpes and running but yet I show up and do them."
"I started RBC in May 2014 because two women I go to church with were going and I decided to just try it and see if I could do it. Well it changed my life I have lost 30 pounds and many inches, I have decrease my diabetes medicine , along with coming off a diabetic medicine. I have decreased many of my diabetic numbers, cholesterol, blood pressure. I feel better than I have ever felt but most of all I have been supported by the best women in the world no matter what I am going thru they are all encouraging me at all times. I did my first 5k thinking I would do the 1 mile walk and ended up doing the whole thing and just when I thought I might not make I looked up to find the rest of my group who had finished coming back to walk with me. It felt great. Great to finish , great to be encouraged. So as I start 2015 I am hoping that I can lose some more weight and encourage someone myself.
Rocking Boot Camp has been the best thing that ever happened to me."

"Since I started Rocking Boot Camp I sleep much better at night and have fewer hot flashes. I have energy that lasts consistently throughout the day without diet pills which would keep me up at night. This weight/fat loss has been done naturally! Thanks to Amanda’s diet consultation I am not hungry. I eat plenty of food with a lot of protein. It’s amazing how much more fat loss occurs when you eat as opposed to when you starve yourself. I used to drink 4 to 5 diet Mt. Dew’s a day and I don’t even crave them anymore. I am getting muscle definition back without bulking up. My clothes fit so much better! Muffin top is almost gone! I am now a size 8 bottom and can fit into some size 6."
"I will be 50 years old in a few months. I have been many things in my life; a wife, a mother, a lawyer. But the one title that I have always wanted, but which has remained just beyond my grasp, is that of Athlete. Combining my complete lack of athletic ability with my paralyzing fear of failure, I felt destined to remain a life-long spectator.
In the summer of 2012, once again wanting to get in shape and desperately needing to lose some weight, I started going to boot camp. One warm-up lap around the field, I didn’t know if I was going to die, throw up or both. The workouts are hard. Just when you think you’ve got it whipped, Amanda will throw 10 reps of some crazy, body punishing, muscle shredding exercise at you. And after you’ve done three sets of those, you get to increase the reps to 20!
"Some days you kick the work-outs’ butt, and some days it kicks yours. But that’s ok. Every day is not the same and if you just aren’t feeling it, you take some pride in knowing that you showed up and you’re moving. My new friends from class are at all different fitness levels. Amanda understands that some people are physically incapable of completing some exercises and would never berate you for that. However, there is still that “little” bit of pressure to push yourself just a little bit harder--pressure that eventually gets you to another level.
Bill Bowerman, co-founder of Nike said, 'If you have a body, you are an athlete.'
I am so glad that I discovered Rocking Boot Camp, or I may have never known that the title I had always wanted, I’d actually had all along." – Angie Walker
